From 13–17 April 2026, we welcomed a new cohort of researchers to the Chemical and Materials Machine Learning School (CaMMLs) at STFC Daresbury Laboratory. Supported by the AIchemy Hub in collaboration with PSDI, the school brought together delegates for an intensive week of learning, collaboration and community building.

AIchemy researchers led an interactive LEGO‑robot workshop at Imperial Discovery Day, introducing children to AI‑driven automation and chemistry through hands‑on slime synthesis.

Held from 5 to 7 February 2026, AIchemy were proud to sponsor and take part in the Civic Data Cooperative Festival of Data, hosted by the Civic Data Cooperative at Liverpool’s ACC.

In February, researchers and students gathered for The Inator Hackathon in Liverpool.

In January 2026, researchers from across the UK and beyond gathered at Cloth Hall Court, University of Leeds for New Starters in AI for Chemistry Symposium, a full-day event celebrating emerging voices, fresh ideas, and the growing intersection between artificial intelligence and chemical research.

In December, we were delighted to host the Winter School on Robotics and AI for Chemistry at the University of Liverpool. Over five intensive days, participants joined us from across disciplines to explore how artificial intelligence, robotics, and automation are reshaping chemical and materials research.

Wednesday 26th November 2025 welcomed delegates from across academia, industry, and the AI community to The Spine in Liverpool for our first Agentic AI in Chemistry Symposium.

On Tuesday 11th November, AIchemy and the Sustainable Chemicals and Materials Manufacturing Hub (SCHEMA) came together for a one-day symposium at the SCI Headquarters in London.

Dr Hatem Fakhruldeen and AIchemy brought together a fantastic group of scientists and engineers for our first hands-on workshop dedicated to the Open Chemistry Robotics and Automation (OCHRA) framework. It was a day of deep dives, live demos, and, most importantly, community building.
